ABOUT ME:

I grew up in Minnesota, moved to San Diego for college and after graduating was a rural public health Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador. Prior to starting medical school I lived in Boston where I taught high school biology and chemistry.  My wanderlust continued through medical school and my internal medicine-pediatrics residency during which I spent time working and living in Juárez, Mexico, Kampala, Uganda and Pavia, Italy. My academic interest is the development of teaching protocols and research of ultrasound in developing countries to diagnose infectious diseases.
